Dům pro Zajícovi v Dačicích

On the outskirts of Dačice, in a modern satellite, excellent investors decided to build a simple and modest family house.
The biggest challenge was to deal with the clumsy urbanism itself and a multitude of regulations regarding future development. Another hurdle was the very steep terrain and the requirement for sufficient privacy. Ultimately, everything came together as a great and viable brief.
Together with the investors, we came up with a simple solution – an almost atrium house in an L shape, which is protected on one side by the slope of the garden smoothly transitioning into the landscape and on the other side secured by a freestanding garage. This created a permeable atrium/courtyard/terrace that provides enough privacy while also communicating with its surroundings.
