The transformation of the textile factory into a multifunctional service pavilion has opened new possibilities for the city. The textile factory reveals spaces for shops, restaurants, services, and, among other things, a music club. The ground floor of the riverside building closely borders the Bělo stream, where the city is preparing an interesting project for a riverside promenade. The club thus has the chance to integrate itself with its future terrace into the overall concept. The interior, however, has already opened, and it was somewhat of a harsh blow for the town. The modern design surprised some, appealed to others, but it definitely aimed for clientele beyond the local community. Designer Jarka Kupcová left the industrial space somewhat bare. The introduction of colors in the seating furniture around the central bar, the rawness of the industrial floor, all gives the club the possibility to change its face almost every day. The program includes dance nights for the young, live listening productions, alternative music evenings……Once the club enters its planned terrace through its glass portals, adjusts its entrance areas, and integrates them into the context of the city via the riverside promenade, the club will acquire its definitive dimension.
The bar has a basic steel frame with stainless steel work surfaces. The façade is made of backlit extruded colored plexiglass (Plexiglas). The interior lighting is distributed through aluminum grids with spot lighting Brilum Lavado and Brilum Scéna (both in the space and above the bar). The space is ventilated mechanically with a visible (unobscured) suspended ductwork. The floor is industrial (cast concrete) with a circular wooden dance floor element. The color composition of the walls did not choose an aggressive approach but instead allowed the bar, stage lighting during productions, and colorful seating furniture – polycarbonate chairs and leather seating elements – to stand out. The space is complemented by wallpaper with musical motifs.
