LADIES' APARTMENTThe apartment was reconstructed as part of a development project - the renovation of an apartment building on Kunzova Street.
In the original design, the space was divided into a 2+kk apartment with drywall partitions. However, the client desired a more spacious and versatile layout. In the design, I replaced the drywall partitions with glass walls with solid sliding panels.
This resulted in a smoother connection between the individual areas of the apartment and, above all, greater illumination. The entrance hallway is separated from the living space by a short corridor created by extending the coat closet on the hallway side and the kitchen unit on the living space side. From the hallway, it is also possible to enter the bathroom, which is separated only by a wall of frosted glass and a sliding panel. The bathroom is spacious and, thanks to the glass wall, also lighter.
The living area includes the kitchen unit, dining (work) table, and seating. The kitchen unit is designed to fit its placement in the main living area. Behind the unit, a painting with a roller is proposed, and clear glass is installed.
The living area and bedroom are again separated by a glass wall with a solid sliding panel.
The furniture is custom-made, including the kitchen unit, TV wall with library, dining table, and bed.
The owner and resident of the apartment is a woman. This criterion influences the color scheme and character of the furnishings. The oak strip flooring is complemented by veneered furniture (dark bamboo veneer).
The dominant color becomes red, used on the sliding panels. On the walls (tiles, paintings), various shades of old rose and crimson appear, which complement the bright red color. There is also a certain retro trend visible in the apartment (Thonet chairs, roller), which points out that this is not a new building, but a house built at the beginning of the last century.
