Kindergarten Moravany

The Novosady locality is located on the western edge of the historic center of the village, in the direction of the development area designated for individual residential construction. The plot has a favorable orientation with a gentle slope to the south. The kindergarten building is situated in its upper half, so that the main living spaces for the children are directed towards the sunlit sides. The building is designed as a composition of individual functional parts, connected around an entrance atrium under a common sloped roof.
The division of the building into operational-functional parts allows for the creation of a zoned entrance space from the arrival area through the atrium to the main entrance, where visitors are greeted with a view of the kindergarten's play garden. The entrance atrium is shielded from the access road by a barrier wall located in the portal, creating a calm space for a partially covered inner courtyard. The changing rooms, which are the main contact points for parents with children and educators, are situated immediately at the entrance and equipped with large windows facing the atrium. The children’s day rooms are oriented towards the south and east, with direct access to outdoor terraces and the garden.
In connection with the communication hub of the atrium, a separate wing connects the service area, which closes the building from the north. It includes the administrative section of the kindergarten, catering, and technical and storage facilities.
The building is topped with a simple sloped roof with a combination of gentle slopes. The structure of the building is masonry with a contact insulation system, finished with colored plaster on the external facades and brick cladding in the atrium. The openings are filled with aluminum frames, complemented in exposed facades by textile exterior awnings and roller blinds.
