Rebelbean

Rebelbean
Rebelbean is a popular coffee roastery in Brno, which recently celebrated its 5th anniversary and treated itself to a new café as a gift. For its flagship, they chose the area of the transformed Vlněna, a business producing woolen fabrics in the center of Brno, which in the last two years has replaced a set of commercial administrative buildings.
The café has a simple rectangular layout. The two shorter sides with entrances are completely glazed.
The inserted metal cube of the back space diagonally connects the two opposite entrances, creating a dynamic tension in the area. It also includes wooden-clad seating niches, which form a striking visual element. A deliberately diverse and varied types of seating were designed for café visitors to accommodate all types of potential use.
Thus, the café serves couples, individuals, and larger groups.
The bar is set in the center of the layout and divides the café into two distinct parts.
Rebelbean uses the space for popular cuppings and brunches, utilizing a wide variety of arrangements. The high metal tables are designed to be placed and assembled together in any way.
Material-wise, the café is very restrained.
White and gray shades of the surfaces are complemented by dark gray metal colors and honey-colored oak wood on the bar, floors, and niches.
All furniture is chosen to enhance the industrial character of the interior.
A striking element of the interior is the truly rebellious lighting.
Ordinary fluorescent lights, seemingly scattered in metal boxes or "floating" above the bar, have a very unusual effect.
The massive wooden bar is composed of randomly arranged wooden beams, smoothly transitioning into an oak countertop on one side and oak plank flooring on the other.
