The new locality will focus on housing in standalone family homes with gardens, complemented by small amenities and services. The concept of the project is to revitalize the traditional model of village development with a square and corner-built plots. Positioning the building on the edge of the plot makes better use of the land and provides the garden with the intimacy that is lost in typical solitary development of family homes. Experience from old farms and estates shows that the traditional village building form with a quiet, serene, and sunlit courtyard would be well applicable even today. The layout of the residential house can be easily arranged into a narrower form to meet contemporary needs and opened on three sides, leaving one side without windows. The neighboring wall thus also becomes a fence for the adjacent plot, preventing people from "looking into each other's plate."
