"The whole is more than the sum of its parts" Aristotle

The spatial arrangement is inspired by a map of the Earth, a grid formed by meridians and parallels. The individual themes are interconnected, allowing the visitor to perceive the composition as a whole. The Earth, with its six thematic islands (food, slow fashion, biodiversity, landscape, water, and waste), is positioned centrally in the large hall, highlighting the original architecture of the historic space. On both shorter walls are areas for large-scale graphics with an introduction and conclusion, offering space for complementary projections or feedback from visitors. In the 00.105 tower space, the theme of recycling and upcycling is featured. The modular islands here transform into a vertical composition of a multifunctional wall with integrated showcases, AV elements, graphics, or storage spaces. The central area remains free for workshops, games, or seminars.

From the modular grid of 900×900mm format, pedestals of the individual thematic islands emerge. Elementary geometry and a color unity on a white background provide a consistent base for large interactive elements and physical models. White evokes a blank sheet of paper, inviting notes to be added.

Material Solution – Upcycling
All materials for the construction of the exhibition will be sourced from the dismantling of the Sun Kings exhibition. Wooden beams for the structure, boards for cladding, glass panes are stored on new pedestals, and the required tops for the recessed showcases will be formatted from the glazing glass. By utilizing materials from the exhibition, energy consumption during the production and transport of materials will be reduced.

Graphics
Graphics serve as a clear means of communication. Information is the most important aspect. The concept of graphics ties in with the sustainable aspect of the exhibition. The font used, Times New Roman, is free everywhere, the drawn diagrams will be created by us, and visitors have the space in the final panel to add their observations and ideas. The fresh visual evokes a workspace – a space for further development and reflection on what can I do with this?
