The municipality of Hlásná Třebaň is located in a picturesque valley of the Berounka River on the edge of the Český kras. Its location near the capital city makes it an attractive place to live. With the growing number of inhabitants, the existing civic infrastructure is no longer sufficient to meet the demands. Therefore, Třebaň has decided to announce an architectural competition for a multipurpose building that will combine functions that are key to a satisfied village life. A new community center should be created, open to residents of all age groups. Thanks to shared spaces, the building should be lively throughout the day. An important aspect is functionality and the sustainability of operations corresponding to the possibilities of a smaller municipality.
The building will include administrative facilities for the office, including a municipal library, a volunteer fire brigade's firehouse, rentable commercial spaces, and a shared community hall and facilities. The outdoor public space is also part of the brief.
The competition is announced as an architectural, single-phase, open, and project-based one. In the independent part of the jury will sit architects Markéta Zdebská, Štěpán Valouch, Ondřej Tuček, and Šárka Sodomková, while representatives of the municipality will sit in the dependent part of the jury.
The competition is announced on June 11, 2021, and the deadline for submitting proposals is set for November 5, 2021. Guided tours of the proposed site will take place on June 28, July 19, and September 6.
