Lectures on architecture at the Benedikt Rejt Gallery continue. We invite you to the next one in the series of lectures on architecture with architect and architectural historian Zdeněk Lukeš.
Two architects of Prague Cubism: Josef Chochol (1880-1956) and Vlastislav Hofman (1884-1964). The lecture will introduce the significant Prague architect Chochol, the author of the pavilion at the exhibition grounds in Loune. This student of prof. Otto Wagner from the Vienna Academy of Fine Arts was among the leading representatives of the Czech phenomenon of architectural Cubism, but he was also the author of several other significant buildings from the interwar period. The lecture will also recall the works of his colleague Hofman, an architect, painter, and scenographer.
