On January 25, 2017, the first edition of the academic competition for the GoRo Prize (Golden Roubík 2016) took place at the ARCHIP School of Architecture. This award honors the co-founder of ARCHIP Martin Roubík (1949-2008) and is presented in two categories: best student project and best studio. This award will be given twice a year at the end of each semester. The jury selecting the winners consisted of architects Lyndy Zein from CCEA MOBA, Jan Hájek from Jan Hájek Architects, student representatives Kazimír Suter Winter and Regina Loukotová, the rector of ARCHIP. In the Best Student Project category, the winner was the project by Kryštof Redčenkov, and in the Best Studio category, the studio Pavel Nasadil and Martin Duby won. As every semester, the assignment for all students of the school was the same; this year, it focused on the revitalization of an urban block in Leipzig, Germany. Congratulations to the winners, and we look forward to the next edition of the competition. More information >
