The task was to propose a new summer stage capable of replacing the currently popular "carousel" located in the garden of Český Krumlov Castle. Two plots were available to choose from, more or less in the vicinity of the garden.
MOVEMENT AND SPACE Turning was replaced with movement along a line. A person does not spin like on a carousel but gradually flows through the story from one side of the area to the other.
STAGE - STOPS ALONG THE LINE The action pauses at individual scenes as it moves through the landscape.
LANDSCAPE AS A BACKDROP The main feature of the area is its length (approximately 150 meters) and the changing natural characteristics. Dense forest, clearings, meadows...
BACKDROP AS A COMPLEMENT TO THE LANDSCAPE The landscape and the enhanced scene should complement each other sensitively. Therefore, only stylized 2D backdrops are used. They also naturally divide the scene into stage and backstage.
AUDIENCE - STAGE Roughly in the middle is the audience area, which divides the space into a part for spectators and a part for actors. The audience is made up of wooden steps only. At the bottom of the audience area is a stage that faces the audience's facilities and can be used for concerts or screenings.
TRACKS - LAYERS The main element of the theater is the tracks running across the entire plot. Thanks to them, the whole theater is movable and maximally variable.
