Ten years ago, the largest graduating class in the history of the School of Architecture at the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague celebrated their graduation. Seven distinct characters were brought together under one roof for a time. Each then set off on their own path. David Kubík was invited aboard by the doyen of the Czech scene and adventurer Martin Rajniš to delve into the realm of experimental wooden structures. The long-standing friendship of Jan Horký with Pavel Nasadil resulted in the establishment of their joint office FAM Architekti, along with a number of international projects. Bronislav Stratil founded the architectural studio ROHÁČ STRATIL with Jan Roháč, where he primarily focuses on architectural and scenographic projects in the field of cultural buildings. Petr Šmídek kept one foot in academia while launching an internet project, archiweb.cz, with Jan Kratochvíl. Viktor Vlach established a joint studio, under-construction architects, with Vladimír Vašut, with whom he strives to elevate local architectural culture after returning to his hometown of Náchod. Jan Žalský, after practicing together with Petr Pinkas, founded his own office Žalský Architekt three years ago and has spent the last two years as an assistant to Professor Emil Přikryl. Now we meet again at one table. With a joint exhibition at the AVU Gallery, we return and reflect on the grounds of our alma mater.
