From Monday, December 2, 2013, until the beginning of January 2014, you can visit the exhibition of works by students from the Faculty of Art and Architecture at the Technical University of Liberec from the studio of Zdeněk Fránek and Dana Raková. Among the fifteen winery projects developed during the summer semester 2012/2013, almost half are bachelor's theses and one master's thesis.
This corresponds to the high quality of the works, going hand in hand with an original presentation inspired by the very process of ripening and wine production.
For this purpose, students used clear wine bottles, and each project is printed on separate labels. Visitors then walk through rows of vines, collecting individual bottles and turning them in their hands like grapes to study the individual designs.
Students worked on several interesting locations. First of all, the most represented winery for Mr. Bílik in Chlumčany near Loun is almost half of the designs. Additionally, there are several projects for a winery in Prague on Vítkov and three independently selected locations - Žalhostice, Rybníky, and Horní Věstonice.
Besides visits to individual locations, an important part of the theme was also an excursion organized by the Jaroslav Fragner Gallery, during which students had the opportunity to visit leading wineries in Moravia and northern Austria over several days. They thus created a comprehensive picture of winery architecture, its culture, and as a result, the projects are thoroughly developed according to individual assignments in terms of production and technical aspects.
The exhibition was prepared by Jan Kurz, Andrea Pujmanová, Jakub Pleyer, and Zuzana Ferencová.
