Brad Pitt became the designer of an eco-hotel in Dubai

Los Angeles - Brad Pitt has become the designer of an eco-friendly hotel and resort in Dubai. "While filmmaking is my job, architecture is my passion," stated the Hollywood actor according to People magazine.
    The forty-four-year-old Pitt will join the team of project consultants for the construction of a five-star hotel with 800 rooms in this Arab emirate. The construction has been entrusted to the Los Angeles architectural firm GRAFT.
    "I chose this project as my first major construction project for a simple reason," added the actor. "Not only will it support the values of eco-friendly architecture that I believe in, but it will also benefit my career in the entertainment industry."
    Pitt has already participated in the construction of eco-friendly houses in New Orleans for people who lost their homes to Hurricane Katrina three years ago. In August 2005, during one of the most destructive hurricanes in American history, more than 1,800 people lost their lives in New Orleans and 300,000 families found themselves homeless. The "green" houses are equipped with solar panels and built to withstand potential future flooding. Pitt reportedly fell in love with New Orleans while shooting the film The Curious Case Of Benjamin Button.
