Parking house in Miami by H&deM

A series of modern buildings is likened to skeletons covered in skin. Jacques Herzog attempted to define his latest realization as “just muscles without clothes”. The project of the commercial and residential building Lincoln Road 1111 with a multi-story parking garage stands in Florida's Miami Beach, so it's no surprise that in this sunny environment the “building lacks clothing”.
In the exposed concrete structure, in addition to parking and apartments, there are also eleven stores and three restaurants (on the ground floor, 5th floor, and on the roof). A strong expressive experience has been achieved through the trapezoidal concrete columns, which are irregularly distributed throughout the parking area. The building is located on “Fifth Avenue Miami Beach”, famous for its exaggerated luxury in the Art Deco style. H&deM designed an airy sculpture for this environment that offers a unique parking space as well as a unique view of Miami.
