Stockholm - A fire broke out this morning at the Stockholm School of Architecture in the center of the Swedish capital. According to firefighters, the fire got out of control and further spread is threatening the university building. The building was reportedly empty at the time of the outbreak, and there is no need to evacuate nearby residential buildings.

One firefighter sustained an injury to his hand while battling the flames, spokesperson Asa Dehlin reported. The fire has allegedly destroyed the university's auditorium, and there is a threat of it spreading to other parts of the building.
The large concrete structure, designed by architect Gunnar Henriksson in the 1960s, was voted the ugliest building in the city by residents of the Swedish capital in 2008.
