Just like every year, at the end of the semester, all studios of the AAAD in Prague opened their doors to present their results to the public. The exhibition of final projects took place from January 27 to February 2, and the editorial office of Archiweb naturally focused on the architectural studios. The position of this field will in fact be indirectly strengthened at AAAD by the election of Professor Jindřich Smetana, the head of the Architecture I studio, as the new rector of the school. Whether and how this choice will reflect on the direction of the four architecture studios, in which over 80 students study across six years, will be seen in the coming years.

In most studios, both semester works—tasks created under pedagogical guidance over a longer period—as well as final works—projects that conclude the semester and on which students work independently—were exhibited. Often, they also overlapped. Considering that the assignments vary between studios—often even within individual years—it will be clearer why the editorial office relied on the recommendations of the studio heads again this year. For each of them, we present one work, or two approaches to the same assignment as in the case of Architecture II.
