Are you interested in what the Imperial Island will look like? Come to the conference on the future use of the largest island in Prague. This is the first of three meetings within the so-called competitive workshop, which will be organized this May and June by the Institute of Planning and Development of the Capital City of Prague together with the city districts. The goal is to find a comprehensive solution for the future shape of the Imperial Island and its immediate surroundings. The main guest is Till Rehwaldt, president of the Association of German Landscape Architects.
Topics: - landscape and infrastructure - possibilities for the use of the island (community gardens, livestock farming, sports, horse rehabilitation)
About the project: The Institute of Planning and Development of the Capital City of Prague, together with the city districts, will organize a competitive workshop to modify the Imperial Island and its immediate surroundings. In May and June, a series of meetings will take place to address the restoration of the landscape of the largest island in Prague and to seek new opportunities for its use.
The method of a competitive workshop could help improve the results of the much-discussed project for a new wastewater treatment plant, particularly its proper integration into the broader natural environment. It is a special type of architectural competition widely used in Germany for cases of very complex territories involving many stakeholders. Selected teams will sit together at one table with all interested parties and will look for solutions on how to further develop the island.
Registration at the information center at the entrance. Please arrive on time, the capacity of the hall is limited.
