Karlovy Vary - The European Heritage Days in Karlovy Vary will introduce visitors to significant villas from the First Republic era and two newly reconstructed buildings. Jiří Klsák, the Deputy Mayor of Karlovy Vary, told ČTK today. The days are scheduled for September 12 and 13, and the city will traditionally offer guided tours at four locations. "Specifically, we will offer visitors four locations. On Saturday, we will offer a trip to significant villas in Tuhnice from the First Republic, and in the afternoon those interested will have the chance to see the newly reconstructed Olympic building on Zámecký vrch. On Sunday, they will be able to visit the villas in Horní Drahovice, also from the First Republic, but also younger ones. In the afternoon, on the program will be the newly reconstructed National House, which has been open since May," said Klsák. Historian Lubomír Zeman will provide commentary on the villas in both Tuhnice and Drahovice, while visitors to the newly reconstructed monuments will be guided by Dominika Kožešníková from the heritage care department of the Karlovy Vary Magistrate. Karlovy Vary participates in the European Heritage Days every year, opening the doors to the most interesting monuments, buildings, objects, and spaces, including those that are otherwise partially or completely inaccessible. In recent years, this has included, among other things, the Little Castle in Doubí, the Tašovice Hillfort, or Hotel Kučera - Bursa House.
