As part of the 4+4 Days in Motion cycle, a ceremonial launch of the fifth anthology of Kruh, documenting the activities of this association in the years 2014-15, will take place on Monday, October 5, 2015, at 7:00 PM at the Desfours Palace in Prague. DJ Floex will play for dancing and listening. Admission is free.
On the occasion of World Architecture Day celebrations, the association Kruh will launch its 5th anthology, which maps the period of 2014–2015 and introduces architects and educators from the prestigious ETH School of Architecture in Zurich, who lectured in Prague as part of the Switzerland-Czech Inspirations lecture series. The publication includes interviews and essays from inspiring architects educating students from around the world at this carefully developed school. This includes architects (Christian Kerez, Fabio Gramazio, Tom Emerson, Adam Caruso, Andrea Deplazes, or Martino Tattara), professors, and theorists of architecture (Philip Ursprung, Ákos Moravánszky, Laurent Stalder, Vesna Jovanović). The plethora of personalities from ETH is complemented by structural engineer Joseph Schwartz, scientific researcher Toni Kotnik, and landscape architect Günther Vogt. The publication also recalls the activities of the Kruh association held in 2014 and 2015 in collaboration with the Faculty of Architecture at ETH Zurich (lectures, workshops, excursions). The anthology is being published in October 2015 with the support of the Partnership Fund (Swiss-Czech Cooperation Program).
