Brno - At the construction fairs in Brno, a passive house will be built in pavilion V in four days. The event organizers want to convince visitors that it is possible to build passive houses quickly and cheaply. The completed building will be auctioned off at the ForArch autumn fairs. The starting price will be one crown. This was reported to ČTK by the director of the Passive House Centre (CPD), Jan Bárta.
    The usable area of the house will be 7.5 x 3.5 meters and a height of 3.5 meters. The layout will be divided into a living area with a kitchenette and social facilities. It will include a controlled ventilation system, water heating, and an electric direct heater.
    "We want to auction the completed building on the auction server aukro.cz during the ForArch autumn fair. The auction will start at one crown; the new owner can use the building as an economical recreational house or even a small office," Bárta added regarding the auction.
    The construction fairs start on Tuesday, April 24. It is one of the largest exhibition events in the Czech Republic. The Passive House Centre is a non-profit organization based in Brno, established to promote and ensure the quality of passive houses. Its members include architects, designers, construction companies, manufacturers of building materials, and other professionals interested in passive houses.
