New website about passive houses: all information for both laypeople and professionals in one place

"Interest in passive houses continues to grow, the goal of the new website was to provide all the necessary information in one place, accessible down to the smallest details," revealed Jan Bárta, the director of the association. The catalogs therefore contain calculations and construction details, and detailed calculated procedures on how to proceed with the construction of a passive house are also available.

The pages are intended for a wide range of people interested in passive houses, who are looking for verified information about this housing standard. The website offers both a basic introduction and long-term experiences of owners with living in passive houses, and it also addresses the most common myths and misconceptions. It is also interesting for professionals, offering participation in training sessions and excursions or construction drawings of important details for building.

A very popular catalog of passive houses built in the Czech Republic is also part of the presentation. It currently includes 228 objects, which is about one-seventh of all passive houses officially built in the country.

"We prepared the new website for more than half a year and during its creation we drew from many years of experience with the questions and problems that people interested in passive houses typically encounter," added Bárta. The site www.pasivnidomy.cz thus offers current information, as well as materials that will guide interested parties through the construction of a passive house step by step.

The Passive House Center focuses on raising awareness among both the lay and professional public. In addition to the catalog of already built passive houses in the Czech Republic, it offers professionals in the field specialized courses focused on the design and reconstruction of passive houses, as well as unique professional consulting.
