Mladá Boleslav

Mladá Boleslav - One of the oldest buildings in Mladá Boleslav, the Templ Palace, has been transferred from the National Heritage Institute to the Mladá Boleslav office of the Office for Representation of the State in Property Matters (ÚZSVM). The city of Mladá Boleslav operates a museum exhibition in the three-story late Gothic building and the adjacent courtyard, having expressed interest in a gratuitous transfer of the property. This was stated by the office in a press release.

The palace, built around 1490 as the residence of the governor of the Boleslav estate, served after 1920 as a prayer hall for the Czechoslovak Hussite Church, and from the late 1980s as an exhibition hall. After extensive reconstruction in the 1990s, the city of Mladá Boleslav established a permanent multimedia exhibition here in 2000, which includes, for example, an archaeological interactive playground for children and a simulation of a cave as a Celtic sanctuary. The city's spokesperson, Šárka Charousková, told ČTK that the city is interested in continuing this activity.

ÚZSVM falls under the Ministry of Finance and, among other things, ensures the rental or sale of selected state property. For over three years, interested parties have also been able to purchase it through electronic auctions.
