Prague - The Ministry of Defense has announced another tender for the sale of pre-war border fortifications, known as "řopíky," and other unwanted real estate. In today’s published offer, there are 26 items with a minimum purchase price of over 4.3 million crowns, of which 19 properties are being offered from previous tenders. The ministry announced this in a press release today.
In previous tenders, the ministry was unable to sell ten plots of land in several regions, including Prague, and nine řopíky in the Náchod, Louny, Znojmo, and Břeclav regions. "Although some řopíky are located on land owned by others and are subject to the right of first refusal by the landowners, there is nothing preventing their sale, as the landowners have shown no interest," the ministry stated.
The defense ministry has newly included advertisements for plots of land in a garden colony in Jihlava, in Bystřice pod Hostýnem in the Kroměříž region, and in Brno.
The Ministry of Defense is repeatedly disposing of unnecessary properties. Another offer is expected to be published at the beginning of next year, which will include properties that have not yet been sold.
