From Thought to Architecture - Workshop at Villa Stiassni

We cordially invite you to participate in the architectural workshop titled From Idea to Architecture organized by the Seminar of Art History under the professional patronage of Prof. PhDr. Jiří Kroupa, CSC., Assoc. Prof. Mgr. Radka Nokkala Miltová, Ph.D., and in collaboration with the Methodological Center for Modern Architecture of the Institute of Cultural Heritage in Brno.

The all-day conference of the architectural workshop will take place on June 15, 2023, starting at 10:00 a.m. at the lecture center of Villa Stiassni. The anticipated end of the official lecture block is preliminarily scheduled for 5:00 p.m. The following day, a specialized excursion will take place, but it is intended exclusively for students of the Art History program at the Faculty of Arts, Masaryk University.

The workshop is open to all students of art history, architecture, and related fields. We are also happy to welcome academic and non-academic professionals and art lovers. Due to limited capacity, registration is required by sending an application to the email address: [email protected] or via a Google form. Registration is open until June 5, 2023.

For applicants outside Brno, each participant must ensure their own transportation to Brno and any related accommodation. For better orientation, we include a link to an accommodation web portal.

Participation in the workshop is free of charge, except for individual expenses for travel and any accommodation.
