The organizations Open House Praha and Krenovka invite you to the next joint debate from the series Openly about Prague, which this time will focus on the future of one of the largest brownfields in Prague. The Žižkov Freight Station is not only among the significant Prague industrial monuments, but also a location with considerable development potential. For several years, there has been a discussion about utilizing this extensive and long-unused area for a new urban district for 23 thousand residents. What should it look like and who will participate in it? What will the transport service and the quality of public services be? Will the project help solve the urgent problem of lack of affordable housing in the capital city?

These are just some of the questions that will be addressed in a panel debate about the plans to transform the Žižkov station into spaces at Čítárny Unijazz.

Panelists:
• Anna Vinklárková, urbanist responsible for the petition Žižkov for the People and a member of the ARNIKA association,
• Benjamin Fragner, architectural historian and industrial archaeologist from the Research Center for Industrial Heritage at the Faculty of Architecture CTU in Prague,
• Pavel Dobeš, representative and deputy mayor of Prague 3 with competencies in urban development (including the Žižkov freight station),
• David Musil, director of Penta Real Estates.

The debate will be moderated by Michal Šedivý, a lecturer for year-round events of Open House Praha.
