Pardubice – Pardubice have planned a public hearing on the proposal for a new zoning plan. It is available for inspection on the city website. The meeting will take place on Wednesday at 4:00 PM at the Hronovická Cultural House, the city hall announced today in a press release. The city decided to create a new zoning plan in 2010, and has been working on it since then.
The updated version of the document will govern the territorial development of the city in the coming years. The zoning plan is the first document that people must review if they want to find out what purposes a piece of land can be used for.
"The city's goal is to create a zoning plan that, in addition to reasonable development of the city, will also consider the public interest protected by the relevant state authorities, the interests of the local government, citizens, and private property owners," said Deputy Mayor Petr Kvaš (ODS).
The preparation of the document is a time-consuming and complex process. It involves a number of state institutions, ministries, the city and regional offices, operators of technical and transport infrastructure, as well as surrounding municipalities. In the final phase of creating the zoning plan, the public may also enter the discussion with their comments and objections, Kvaš noted.
"The first public hearing on the draft zoning plan took place in June 2018, since then evaluations of the received opinions, closing agreements with the relevant authorities, and assessments of comments and objections from the public have been carried out. Based on the results of the discussions, significant adjustments to the proposal have been made, which is now being presented to the public again," said Zuzana Kavalírová, head of the main architect's department.
Comments or objections to the amended parts of the zoning plan proposal can be submitted until March 30, in writing to the main architect's department. An evaluation of the objections, comments, and opinions will follow. The results of the evaluation will determine the next steps.
