Mladá Boleslav - The underground parking garage on the Old Town Square in Mladá Boleslav will be fully operational starting Monday. Motorists will be able to use all 77 spaces. The opening date of the long-anticipated building was announced by the Deputy Mayor of Mladá Boleslav, Adolf Beznoska, at the end of the week.

In recent weeks, the construction contractor, CGM Czech, completed the temporary access to the stairs and elevator, and they were waiting for the results of the investigation by representatives of the Czech Technical Inspection, informed Pavel Šubrt from the city hall to ČTK.
Until now, there was no charge for the first hour of parking; the fee of 10 crowns was charged for the second hour and for each additional started hour. The updated price list should be available at the moment of full operation of the building, Beznoska had previously stated. According to him, it will be set in a friendly manner towards motorists.
The construction, costing more than 40 million crowns, was opened to partial operation last November. Drivers could park their cars in 38 spaces. The start of the actual construction, which was funded by the city from its own resources, was delayed by archaeological surveys. Construction began in January 2011; however, according to the original plans, the parking lot was supposed to be completed by September 2010.
The historical cellars discovered by archaeologists will be visible in the adjacent recreational area. This area, along with a glass dome and a park on the roof of the parking garage, is also being built by CGM Czech. According to spokesperson Koišová, the entire complex is expected to be completed by May 31, 2012.
