Prague - A floating sauna was brought by the large Christmas water to Prague on the piazza of the National Theatre. From December 19 to January 4, it will enhance the offering of the New Stage in a total of five evenings, which advertises it in its program on its website. It can accommodate up to twenty interested people daily. "Bring your own towel, robe, sheet, flip-flops, and swimsuit," invites project leader Marcela Straková to interested parties. Changing rooms for changing clothes and storing personal belongings will be available in the basement of the New Stage of the National Theatre. The sauna has a capacity for six people, and each group will have 60 minutes available. It starts on Monday, December 19, "sauna tickets" worth 50 crowns are on sale at the box offices of the New Stage and the National Theatre. Interested parties will easily find the sauna. It will "float" on the surface of the pavement in the middle of the piazza between the buildings of the National Theatre. "People will cool off under a garden shower, which will stand right next to the sauna. It will be heated with wood," added Straková. She emphasized that swimsuits are necessary; otherwise, this plan in a public place would not be possible to implement. So far, the New Stage has announced five dates when the sauna will be open. The interest is enormous, and all are sold out. There is consideration of expanding the sauna's operation. The sauna on the piazza of the National Theatre will thus remind, at least on a smaller scale, of a similar facility that operated for several years at Žofín on today's non-existent swimming pool. Wood was also used for heating there. The floating sauna Josef, which will be located at the New Stage, is essentially a traveling sauna. Its concept and realization are the responsibility of the company H3T Architekti, which installed it as part of a studio presentation in the spaces of the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague. Afterwards, it was lifted by a crane onto the roof of the Trafačka Gallery, where it stayed for almost a month. After installation on the piazza of the ND, it is said to move to a private pond, but it is still supposed to remain open to the public.
