Prague - The jury of the Building of the Year 2015 competition selected 15 finalists who will compete for five titles. In the running are, for example, the multifunctional center Quadrio, Forum Karlín, Trojhalí Nová Karolina, and the Troja Bridge. The names of the finalists were announced by the organizing Foundation for the Development of Architecture and Construction at today's nomination evening.

The winning five, which will receive the title of Building of the Year 2015, will be announced by the organizers of the competition on October 13 at a ceremonial evening in the Bethlehem Chapel in Prague.
The title can be awarded to new and reconstructed buildings, urban realizations of public spaces, landscape modifications, residential and non-residential buildings, transportation and engineering constructions, as well as specific building works. A condition for entering the competition was completion and commissioning or approval within the period from June 2014 to May this year.
Last year's Buildings of the Year included the Central European Institute of Technology CEITEC in Brno, the cable car to Sněžka, the family house "LF" in Nebušice, the aviation museum of Metoděj Vlach in Mladá Boleslav, and the Šantovka shopping center in Olomouc.
