This year's 9th edition of the non-competitive showcase Salon dřevostaveb will be visited by the renowned Austrian architect Matthias Hein. Thanks to the collaboration of the organizers and the Austrian Cultural Forum, interested parties will be able to familiarize themselves not only with his latest work but also with the phenomenon of the Austrian region of Vorarlberg, which is globally recognized as the cradle of quality modern architecture. Matthias Hein's lecture will take place in the auditorium of the Salon dřevostaveb on Saturday, February 8, at 3:40 PM.

Matthias Hein will present his view on wooden architecture and share his experiences. All this using examples from the work of the studio HEIN Architeken. He himself says about this topic: “Architectural design is like uncovering a secret.” His studio creates projects after a careful analysis of as wide a range of parameters as possible, which are reflected in the final appearance of the house.
All this and much more will be illustrated using the example of the Muntlix kindergarten project. This remarkable project is also included in this year's Salon dřevostaveb and can be admired in the publication Yearbook of Wooden Buildings.
Mathias Hein is not the only foreign architect who will present to the Prague audience this day. The Norwegian architect Geir Brendland and the Slovak architect Pavol Pokorný have also accepted the invitation. More information can be found at www.salondrevostaveb.cz.
