Valashko – Valašské Meziříčí (Vsetín Region) – Valašské Meziříčí in the Vsetín region is preparing to build senior apartments on J. K. Tyl Street. In four interconnected buildings adjoining the municipal senior home, there will be 33 apartments. The city hall is having a project prepared for the construction with estimated costs preliminarily exceeding 200 million crowns, said city hall spokesman Jakub Mikuš today.
The city has completed a study for the senior apartment building from the Brno studio AXXI, which won the architectural competition. The studio is currently working on the project, which will be completed next year.
"We expect that on the municipal land adjacent to the existing senior home, a quartet of interconnected buildings will be constructed with a total of 33 apartments ranging from 1+kk to 2+1, with low-barrier and barrier-free adaptations for seniors. The project will also include 50 new parking spaces, including underground garages, and we are placing great emphasis on preserving the existing greenery and complementing it with new plantings," said Mayor Robert Stržínek (ANO).
In the future, the city also considers the possibility of renting part of the parking spaces to residents from the surrounding housing estate. There are also plans for a new bus stop for public transportation.
