In Žďár nad Sázavou, a new street is being created

Žďár nad Sázavou - The Žďár municipal office will build a new street called Hrnčířská. The construction company responsible for the basic infrastructure has already taken over the site in the city area of Klafar. The deadline for completing the work, estimated at 20 million crowns without tax, is set for June next year, Mayor Zdeněk Navrátil (Žďár - living city) told reporters today. The new street will consist of apartment and family houses, and the speed skater Martina Sáblíková has a plot there.

There has been a long-standing shortage of land for family houses in Žďár nad Sázavou, which has 21,300 residents. Surrounding municipalities have benefited from this, offering plots to builders while the population in Žďár has been declining. "It saddens me that Žďár does not have enough private developers," said the mayor. According to city data, the last time the Žďár municipal office sold more plots was five years ago, with 13 sold then.

In the Hrnčířská street, the city will offer builders the first eight plots for family houses this autumn; the intention to sell them was announced by the city council on Monday. "With the goal that by this time next year we would like to announce the intention to sell several dozen plots in the adjoining area," Navrátil stated. Given the high demand, he expects these plots to sell quickly as well.

This year's sales rules will still need to be approved by the September city council meeting. The lowest possible price per square meter will likely be 1,000 crowns without tax. In case of multiple interested parties for one plot, the price offered in the auction will decide.

According to Navrátil, these are premium plots with an area of about 1,000 square meters, for which the city should be well compensated. "So that we can continue with the street and prepare plots that would be more affordable," he indicated. In addition to municipal plots, there are also private plots in the newly created street. One belongs to the three-time Olympic champion Sáblíková. She received her plot as a gift from the town two years ago, where she grew up.
