Brno - The manufacturer of building autoclaved aerated concrete Ytong, the company Xella CZ from Hrušovany near Brno, achieved sales revenue of 678 million CZK from January to the end of September last year for the sale of its own products and services. However, the results are not comparable to the previous year when sales for the entire calendar year amounted to 907 million CZK. This follows from the financial statements of the company registered in the Collection of Deeds.
Xella CZ has been consistently profitable. Last year, in the first nine months, it earned 99 million CZK. The operating result of the company was even higher, reaching 136 million CZK.
Xella acquired the competing company Hebel CZ two years ago. The acquisition was financed by Xella International. Xella subsequently decided to merge both companies with an effective date of October 1, 2013. Production at Hebel was halted, and the company continued to focus solely on distribution and sales. "The logical conclusion of this situation is therefore a permanent connection into one legal entity," the companies stated in the merger project filed in the Collection of Deeds. The legal effects of the merger will take effect upon registration in the commercial register.
Xella CZ produces in Hrušovany near Brno, Chlumčany in Plzeň, and Horní Počaply in Mělník. In addition to autoclaved aerated concrete, the company also manufactures limestone-sand blocks, gypsum-fiber boards, and insulation panels. It is part of the international group Xella International GmbH, which is one of the leading companies in the European building materials market.
