Znojmo - Znojmo is struggling this year to sell even one of the selected locations for the construction of apartment and family houses to developers. While the plots under the City Forest are being offered for the third time, Malá Louka is being offered for the second time. Interested parties could express their interest until the end of June, and the offer is now back on the official board. The deadline for interested parties expires on August 1, said the city spokesperson Taťána Pavelková. The councilors decided that the conditions would remain the same.

Malá Louka is thus still available for 102.5 million crowns. It is an area of 53,100 square meters, so one square meter costs about 1,930 crowns. It is bordered by Vídeňská and Brněnská streets, which are the main thoroughfare and the road connecting the thoroughfare with the main route to Brno. From the north, a hypermarket borders the area, and from the east, there is a cemetery. Next to the hypermarket, a new supermarket is supposed to be built by Vídeňská street. Because of this, city councilors approved a land exchange last September, which will allow the construction of the supermarket and resolve the traffic connection to the area.

Znojmo conditions the sale on compliance with the regulatory and land use plan; a total of 266 apartments are to be created. There are to be seven apartment buildings, five villa houses, and two terrace houses in the area.

In the past, the opposition criticized the city plan, considering the concept outdated and not corresponding with the construction of apartment buildings today. Nevertheless, the city leadership believes that it can find an investor under the current conditions, even though no one has shown interest in May and June.

Malá Louka is a space that once served the military. They left it in the 1990s, and it has been waiting for use ever since. The regulatory plan was approved by the Znojmo council in 2014 at the last meeting before the municipal elections.

The city is also struggling to sell the plots under the City Forest. There, the city offers about four hectares for 37 million, or 950 crowns per square meter. The city is trying to offer new housing to the residents so that they do not have to move to surrounding municipalities. However, it has been unsuccessful so far.
