Antonín Novák: Contemporary Fait Gallery
The next lecture in the Architecture Lessons series will focus on the conversion of the Wannieck Gallery, known as the current Fait Gallery. On Wednesday, November 1, 2023, at 6:00 PM, its author and architect Antonín Novák will speak about it.
Antonín Novák, a native of Brno, graduated from the Faculty of Architecture at VUT and began his career at the Brno Commercial Project. After 1989, he worked in Vienna at the office of architect Wilhelm Holzbauer and subsequently founded the design office Atelier D.R.N.H. with Petr Valenta. In the academic world, he worked at FA VUT Brno, where he led a studio and later at the Faculty of Art and Architecture in Liberec. His works have been nominated several times for prestigious awards, and he received the title of Architect of the Year 2013. In his work, he has contributed to the reconstructions of significant Brno buildings such as Divadlo Reduta or the former Vaňkovka factory building.
