Architect in Practice: Element

In the winter semester of 2016, as part of the course 'Architect in Practice' intended for second-year MSP students, a lecture series featuring Czech, Slovak, and foreign architects will take place at the Faculty of Architecture VUT in Brno. On Thursday, November 10, 2016, at 5:00 PM, founding member of the Zlín studio ellement, Jitka Ressová, will speak in room A118. The course is open to all interested parties at the faculty and the general public.

Ing. arch. Jitka Ressová, Ph.D. (*1970 Zlín) graduated from the Faculty of Civil Engineering (1993) and the Faculty of Architecture (1999) VUT in Brno. She worked at Atelier Brno and at the studio Transat architects. From 1999 to 2011, she worked at the Design Department of VŠUP Prague in Zlín as an assistant and later as the head of the department. Since 2002, she has been a member of the design and architecture office Ellement. In 2012, she completed her doctoral studies at VŠUP in Prague with the thesis on Residential Unit and Its Individual Use. Since 2011, she has been a member of the o. s. aArchitektura, which organizes lectures and exhibitions about architecture. She was the curator of the Czech Architecture Yearbook 2014-15.
