Taku Sakaushi is a renowned Japanese architect who focuses on architectural practice, theory, and education. Since 1998, he has led the architectural studio O.F.D.A. He currently teaches as a professor at Tokyo University of Science. This March, he will join his students at the international architectural workshop "Paper Square 2030+" in Liberec and will deliver the opening lecture on his work and thoughts on architectural discourse: "Although I wrote in my doctoral thesis fifteen years ago that architecture consists of things and the space between them, a few years ago I decided to add one significantly more important element that constitutes architecture."
The lecture will take place as part of the Paper Square 2030+ International Architecture workshop, which will also be led by Soichiro Ohmura (TUS), Osamu Okamura (FUA TUL), Zdeňka Němcová Zedníčková (FUA TUL), and Jan Vranovský (FUA TUL).
