Urban Talks: SO-IL

Building gently towards the environment. Not perceiving energy sources as a given. Integrating new houses into the surrounding development so that they communicate with each other while also distinguishing themselves. How to tackle these tasks? The next guest in the Urban Talks lecture series is the American studio SO-IL, founded in 2008 by Jing Liu and Florian Idenburg. Their architecture captivates you at first glance with cleverly designed façades and a dynamic space that plays with the contrasting use of materials. Florian will personally visit CAMP to present the studio’s projects. The discussion will include, for example, their recently opened complex of three gallery buildings and a creative hub, Amant, in northern Brooklyn, as well as social housing in León, Mexico.
