The Faculty of Architecture at CTU is announcing selection procedures for the leadership of institutes, studios, a newly established faculty peer-reviewed journal, and other academic positions. An annual call for the guest studio "emerging architects" is also open – for female and male architects with a nascent but successful and developing practice. Applications can be submitted until December.

For the upcoming peer-reviewed journal, which will publish original research in the fields of architecture, urbanism, and landscape architecture, including artistic research, the faculty is seeking an editor-in-chief. The task will be to formulate the concept and direction of the journal, manage the editorial process, and ensure the quality and ethics of publishing. A doctoral education, publishing activity, and experience with editorial work as well as scientific publishing in both Czech and international contexts are required.

The faculty is looking for a head of the Design Institute to strengthen and develop design as an integral part of environmental creation. The new leadership of the Institute of Model Projecting should support the integration of traditional principles of architectural design with new methods of computer design, digital fabrication, and robotics. The head of the Urban Planning Institute should cultivate teaching and research focused on sustainable and resilient urban development, climate adaptability, and other current issues of settlement development. All three positions require a master's degree, relevant professional experience, and team leadership experience.

Two positions are designated for architects who will lead studio teaching. The faculty is announcing a selection process for the leadership of a guest studio for 2026, aimed at talented individuals at the beginning of their careers, as well as for a pair of studio leaders at the Institute of Design II. Both positions require a master's degree, at least three years of professional experience, and significant professional or creative achievements.

In addition to leading institutes, studios, and the editorial team, the faculty is also announcing other positions focused on teaching and research in the areas of architectural history, design theory, digital technologies, constructions, and spatial solutions in landscape architecture, as well as spatial planning and professional assistants for vertical studios Stempel-Beneš, Hlaváček-Čeněk, Vojtík, and for the first-year studio Balejová. For the Design study program, specialized assistants are sought for teaching sustainable design and design processes. An overview of all open positions can be found on the FA career page.
