Wiesner-Hager Project s.r.o.

Wiesner-Hager can add another prestigious collaboration to its account: it has newly equipped a lecture room with its furniture in one of the apartments in Plzeň designed by Adolf Loos.

The famous architect realized several projects in the West Bohemian city. Some of the apartments he designed have gradually undergone or are still undergoing reconstruction and can be seen as part of the official tour routes. The reconstruction of the interior of the Kraus family apartment at Bendova Street No. 10 (managed by Plzeň Tourism, p. o.) was entrusted to architect Ludvík Grym, who sensitively built on the legacy of his predecessor, among other things, by selecting chairs for the lecture room. For this space, which serves visitors of the so-called 1st tour route (the Kraus and Vogl apartments), he chose MACAO chairs. They excel in their modest simplicity, flowing contours, and durability, thus respecting Loos’s philosophy and approach to architecture: MACAO seems to perfectly embody Loos’s motto "ornament is a crime." The plastic shell chairs with armrests are in an elegant white color and provide pleasant comfort not only during guided tours but also during lectures, seminars, or training sessions.
