MONOBRAND s.r.o.

The French brand Modelec approaches electrical installation elements as an architectural detail. Switches and sockets are made from solid materials, with an emphasis on detail, proportion, surface finish, and craftsmanship, becoming a natural part of the material concept of the interior.

Experience in designing and manufacturing electrical end elements, which the Modelec brand has been developing since 1976, translates into a thoughtful balance between form, function, and material. This dynamic is the essence of the brand's philosophy and allows for the creation of products with a considered and balanced expression.

All production takes place in France, emphasizing a craftsmanship approach and high quality standards. The products are designed to be solid, reliable, and technically prepared for contemporary demands, including integration into home intelligence systems. This makes the individual collections suitable for use in residential, hotel, and commercial projects.

Collections as Different Approaches to Detail

Confidence

The Confidence Collection is based on a clean morphology and quality of material, which plays a central role here. Precisely crafted brass elements and attention to detail in surface finishes result in a calm, balanced expression suitable for residential, hotel, and commercial spaces.

Twelve surface finishes of brass, the option of visible or hidden screws, and four lever shape variants allow for subtle adaptations to the architectural concept. In practice, surfaces like Old Bronze, Brushed and Satin Brass, Gun Metal, or Brushed Steel are very popular, confirming the timeless character of the collection. Confidence is the flagship collection of the Modelec brand: flexible, timeless, and designed as an elegant completion of the interior, where detail plays a crucial role.

M

The M Collection, designed by Valérie Mazerat, derives directly from the essence of the material and the process of its processing. It combines the design reference of the 1960s with the contemporary craftsmanship precision of the Modelec brand, creating a timeless, architecturally readable detail.

The foundation of the collection consists of materials such as brass, steel, and aluminum, processed with an emphasis on proportion and surface. With a wide range of materials, surface finishes, and variants, the M Collection allows for sensitive customization of the interior, from restrained solutions to more pronounced accents.

Désir

The Désir Collection is characterized by strong lines and a clean morphology that clearly corresponds to contemporary aesthetics. The form is reduced to clearly readable geometric elements, devoid of decorative gestures, emphasizing the precision of proportions and visual calm.

The collection is available in four surface finishes in plastic versions, which support its strong, contemporary character. The expansion with new surfaces contributes to the fact that Désir has recently become significantly utilized in architectural realizations. Thanks to its restrained form and rationally set material palette, the collection represents an accessible solution for projects where electrical end elements are understood as a natural part of the architectural concept rather than as an accessory element.

Iris

The Iris Collection by Modelec works with curved forms and balanced proportions inspired by design from the 1930s. Its calm geometry allows for sensitive use both in contemporary interiors and during renovations of historical buildings, where simple installation and respect for original architecture are essential.

The Iris Horizon expansion brings a symbolic plane inspired by the Voyager Golden Record, where the circular motif and gentle rhythmization of the surface serve as abstract references to time and technology. The collection is available in several material finishes, including porcelain, solid metal, or plastic.

Fascination

The Fascination Collection was created in close collaboration between Modelec and ornamental artist Steaven Richard. In Parisian workshops, brass undergoes a process of structuring and patination, where the technical precision of craftsmanship becomes a bearer of artistic expression.

The material is shaped by experienced craftsmen to resemble various creative designs. The surface ripples, grains, and evokes structures of exotic wood or perforated mashrabiya screens. Patination gives brass depth and color, referencing semi-precious stones like jadeite or lapis lazuli, without slipping into literalness.

The Fascination Collection is available in six surface finishes and works with the expression of ornament as a full-fledged architectural element.

Modelec treats electrical end elements as an integral part of architecture. Across the collections, there is an evident emphasis on material, craftsmanship, and controlled form, which allows switches and sockets to be perceived not as technical accessories but as a conscious detail that shapes the character of the interior.
