Can a single window influence the comfort of living or working for an individual, as well as the lives of people nearby or even (to some extent) the entire planet? The Belgian window profile manufacturer Deceuninck believes that "Every window matters." The traditional brand has been committed to reducing CO2 emissions in its manufacturing processes for decades.

Windows that change the world for the better

Through the fundamental idea of "Every window matters", the manufacturer Deceuninck emphasizes the sustainability of its range of window and door profiles. Their use is associated with optimal insulation, lower energy bills, and a smaller ecological footprint.

The use of recycled materials is also an important criterion in the research and development of new products by Deceuninck. The window and door PVC profile system Elegant contains 15 to 30% recycled materials. In some combinations of frames and door sashes, this proportion exceeds 55%. For the Phoenix range, it is even 100%.

The Elegant profile system also offers excellent insulating properties that meet current and future sustainability and energy efficiency requirements. By using ThermoFibra glass fiber technology in the sash and Forthex thermal reinforcement in the frame (which replaces standard steel reinforcement), the Elegant achieves the lowest heat transfer values of Uf just 0.85 W/(m²K). Their very good sound insulation also contributes to a peaceful living environment. Elegant profiles are among the slimmest on the market. Shortly after its launch in 2019, it received the prestigious Red Dot and German Design Award.

The PVC Elegant system is a sustainable choice while maintaining excellent thermal insulation properties. The profiles are made from high-quality recycled PVC.

The window and door profiles of the brand Deceuninck are also 100% recyclable. They can be recycled up to 8 times without losing quality, allowing them to serve for up to 300 years.

In Diksmuide, Belgium, the PVC profile system manufacturer Deceuninck operates a plant that recycles up to 45,000 tons of used PVC annually. While producing 1 ton of primary material results in up to 2 tons of CO2 emissions, recycling it produces only about 135 kg of CO2. Photo: Deceuninck
