The technical parameters of the PORFIX AKU aerated lime-sand construction system predispose it for the construction of low-energy and passive houses in combination with insulation resembling sandwich constructions. Thanks to its high sound insulation values, PORFIX AKU can isolate the interior from noise coming from outside or adjacent rooms, even with the smallest wall thicknesses. Therefore, it finds use not only in family and apartment houses but also in hotels, schools, hospitals, or administrative buildings.

The lime-sand blocks have the same color, structure, shape, and dimensions, and they are exceptionally strong (P20), to the extent that in some constructions they can replace reinforced concrete. They are suitable for building six- to eight-story buildings. Due to their higher bulk density and thus higher specific heat capacity, they can better accumulate heat and maintain a constant temperature. They create a stable climate inside, which is one of the conditions for quality living. Moreover, they are an inorganic material that contains no flammable components, which makes them suitable for constructing fire-resistant walls. According to applicable EU standards, the fire reaction of these blocks is classified as class A.
