The manufacturer of the Ytong building system, Xella CZ, has confirmed its position as a leader in the field of low-energy construction. It has succeeded in registering its Ytong Lambda and Ytong Multipor products in the database of products and technologies of the Green Savings program. Each of the certified materials is usable in key segments of the subsidy program: in investments in energy savings during renovations as well as in new constructions meeting passive energy standards.
Ytong Multipor, this year's novelty in the manufacturer's range, represents a breakthrough in the development of thermal insulation. Its dimensional stability, excellent vapor permeability, fire resistance, and easy application find use wherever conventional thermal insulators fall short. “Ytong Multipor overcomes the barriers between masonry elements and thermal insulators. The boards have a significantly longer lifespan and are more resistant to mechanical damage compared to traditional insulators. By registering the product in the List of Products and Technologies, investors have a unique opportunity to draw subsidies from the Green Savings program for truly premium insulation,” says Ivana Havlíčková, marketing manager at Xella CZ, regarding the inclusion of the new product. The manufacturer recommends this product as an ecological alternative to conventional insulation based on polystyrene or mineral wool, or as a comprehensive construction solution for passive houses Ytong Multipor. “For some time now, we have been offering our customers a comprehensive system of three variants of outer walls for different categories of energy-efficient houses. There is traditionally the greatest interest in walls for energy-efficient houses, and interest from investors in walls for low-energy houses is growing, while the passive variant has so far been used rather rarely. We will see whether state subsidies bring any change,” comments Ivana Havlíčková on investor behavior.
The product Ytong Lambda, thermal insulating blocks that are ideal for constructing energy-efficient and low-energy houses without insulation, has also been registered in the product database. “Ytong Lambda is the flagship of aerated concrete and our most commonly used technology for outer walls. It is practically the only solid material with which, in real conditions prevailing on construction sites, one can achieve the parameters of a highly energy-efficient or even low-energy house without insulation. It thus brings enormous savings in labor and materials,” asserts Ivana Havlíčková. The registration of the product Ytong Lambda is a significant benefit especially for renovations, extensions, or completions. Due to its low weight and easy workability, Ytong Lambda is an ideal material for them. Achieving a 40% energy savings—which is one of the main parameters for approving subsidies in renovations—is relatively straightforward with Lambda, even without insulation.
The List of Products and Technologies (LPT) of the Green Savings program is one of the key conditions for obtaining subsidies and should include materials ensuring environmental friendliness and ecological benefits. A significant insulation supplier in the Czech Republic, Baumit, has also bet on the Ytong Multipor product, which is the only one in the Czech Republic to hold a European ETA certificate for the insulation system that includes Ytong Multipor thermal insulating boards. This contact insulation system (ETICS) is marketed under the name Baumit Multipor and is included in the List of Products and Technologies of the Green Savings program.
YTONG, due to its unique thermal insulation properties, is primarily used for the construction of apartment and family houses, providing year-round thermal and moisture comfort. Environmentally friendly and energy-efficient production, along with minimal energy consumption of buildings, places Ytong aerated concrete among the most environmentally friendly building materials available today. High precision, low weight, speed, and simple masonry technology also predispose it for renovations of all types of buildings. White aerated concrete YTONG is produced exclusively from high-quality natural raw materials, such as silica sand, lime, cement, and water. Therefore, it is ideal for constructions intended for long-term human habitation, including spaces with increased hygiene requirements. Production of aerated concrete YTONG is ensured in the Czech Republic by Xella CZ. With around 350 employees in three production plants, approximately 1,000,000 m3 of this precise building material is produced annually. In addition to the YTONG aerated concrete building system, the company also offers a comprehensive range of calcium-silicate blocks SILKA, which excel particularly in exceptional load-bearing capacity and extreme sound insulation. The combination of YTONG and Silka materials results in optimal construction solutions for both conventional and special projects in civil, residential, and industrial construction.
