Director Duki Dror breathes life into the correspondence of two passionate artists who supported each other in turbulent and moving times. Mendelsohn's career followed a trajectory similar to many Jewish emigrants fleeing from Nazism; he worked in England, Israel, and ultimately in the USA. Mendelsohn’s drawings pulsate with energy, and his buildings are stunning. One of his first structures, the Einstein Tower, is among the most important examples of modern architecture. Dror skillfully juxtaposes the original architect's sketches with contemporary footage, as seen by architects and people who utilize these unique buildings today – as a testimony to Mendelsohn’s integrity and the timelessness of his visionary designs.
