Single-family house in Sestajovice

New building is located in the urban area of village Šestajovice (Praha- East district), in a recently developed area of detached family houses. Volume solution of the house is defined by the intersection of two matrices of the first and second floor. The third volume, one-storey garage, steps forward to the house itself, creating a covered access walkway. The house is oriented by longitudinal axis in the east-west direction and all day-use living quarters are open towards the south, creating the straight access to the garden.
The layout is based upon a simple concept: day residential zone in the ground floor and rest-night zone in the second floor. Daily living rooms including the study room, playroom for children are located in the ground floor. By a two-flight staircase is the access to the calm zone – bedrooms and bathrooms.
The terrace facing to the street is partly planted with verdure. Materials used in various volumes-cubes are white and gray plaster and architectural concrete.
