Skanska announces the ART.cukrovar art competition, which aims to select works for five locations of public space in the newly emerging residential district of Modřanský cukrovar. The works intended for selected spots have a predefined purpose, based on public participation, and their common librettos are sustainability, community, and history. The judging panel will consist of prominent Czech artists - sculptor Pavel Karous, designer Maxim Velčovský, as well as landscape architect Štěpánka Endrle, Marie Foltýnová from the Gallery of the Capital City of Prague, the main architects of the project from the Chybik+Kristof studio, and representatives of IPR Prague, Prague 12 district, and Skanska Residential. The competition was monitored and approved by the Czech Chamber of Architects (ČKA).
