Having the opportunity to sleep with the windows open. Not being afraid to let your children run freely in the streets. This is what life in metropolises can look like. According to Danish urban planner David Sim, a pleasant city primarily requires the right density, as well as a good mix of functions and an emphasis on the human scale. David Sim is an award-winning professor, urban planner, and long-time close collaborator of architect Jan Gehl. In the book Soft City, he shows inspiration and provides guidance on how to design cities so that people can live safely and well in them. The publication has been released in more than 20 languages and is now available in Czech as well. David applies the principles described in this book also in his agency Softer. He has been collaborating on projects with the development company Corwin both in the Czech Republic and abroad for a long time. The event will be held in English. Seating is not numbered.
