A house that received an embrace and opened up to nature. A house that is the embodiment of a philosophy about good windows. About the connection of architecture and landscape. About letting the power of nature inside. About stepping outside. This is the new headquarters and showroom of the Czech company JANOŠÍK, which produces windows for contemporary architecture. It serves as both offices and a showroom for windows, doors, and sliding glass walls. Where they can be not only seen but also experienced. In the video, they present the concept that defined and shaped the house.
At the ridge of the White Carpathians, where the forest transitions to meadows, stands the new headquarters and showroom of the company Janošík. The architecture emerged from reflections on good windows and their ability to shape space and atmosphere through connection with the surrounding landscape. The house was reborn from the reconstruction of a cooperative hall from 1950, which served as a grain storage facility. The originally closed structure opened up symbolically and physically. From a barrier, it became a connection of the house, meadows, and distant views. To let the strongest essences of windows resonate.
Originally, the house was separated from the meadow by a road and a fence. Closed off by walls.
